Goals of the surface management are economic one and ecologically meaningful Wiedernutzbarmachung of refuse dumps and/or fallow ones and a lasting town development. With it the lowering of the land consumption is connected by new sealing.
Surface management is used both during the reintegration of an individual surface into the economic circulation and with the development of whole cities or regions.
Good surface management is basic condition for a successful surface recycling, whereby the surface management is concerned mainly with economic conditions, while surface recycling describes rather the technical measures for causing and making a renewed use (e.g. reorganization possible of refuse dumps).
