The term Netting designates the accounting of requirements and obligations from different business between two contracting parties. This becomes relevantly in case of failure a partner.

A special form of the Netting is the Novationsnetting, which concerns derivatives of financial transactions. Included contracts go down and by a new contract at height of the balance of the contracts are replaced into the Netting.
